After surviving 8 weeks straight of 2 flu bugs and major allergies, I'm still alive. However, my hubby on the other hand has not been so lucky. He started out with a sinus infection then he got better. Then he had an infection (I can't even TELL you where) and seemed to get better. Then he got another sinus infection. After 2 doses of strong antibiotics we thought, great, it'll kick it. Ha! He still wasn't feeling well. Drs couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong with him, so they finally sent him to get an MRI on Monday. Aha....kidney stones. How lovely. So he saw the dr on Wed AM and they gave him some meds and told him to go see the specialist (which won't be until next week). Well, last night one of the meds gives him an allergic reaction around midnight and I had to haul a sleeping 4 yr old and a hubby clinching his head in pain like it was about to explode to the ER at our hospital. After some evaluation and a shot in the tush, we headed home around 2:30 this morning and while everyone fell asleep, I tried like heck to FALL asleep. No such luck -- I think I slept all of 2 hours, if that! Sucks to be me! I'm just glad he's feeling better. So as I write this blog, he's napping at 6p. The worse part? He absolutely did not want me to call 911. Next time I'm doing it!
Em's birthday party went well; we ended up holding it at the house since the weather turned a bit gray on us (after ALL that sunshine!). She is into princesses, it was nice of people to send her/give her princess-related items. I think she really thinks she is a princess. I'll try and get some photos posted this week. I hope we can get the thank you cards out sometime this weekend.
One of my best friends/maid of honor at our wedding is coming to visit us on 7/3 from Hawaii. She hasn't been to our town so it should be fun....but short -- only a week, but really 5 days when you factor in travel time. Ahh......I need to clean again this week.
We are on our last weekend of Financial Peace University. The church that is sponsoring it is providing dinner on Sunday, which is really quite nice. Harry and I enjoyed it so much we have asked our church if they would consider the program. We thought it would be a fun thing for he and I to do together as the program coordinators and get to know our fellow parishoners a bit better. Oh I forgot to mention, anything that is said while taking the FPU classes remains confidential. I do like it that folks do share their stories and the "stupid tax" (silly things we do that cost us $$$!) stuff is hilarious. We've had more than our fair share of "stupid tax".
Well I better get moving and figure out what's for dinner.
