Good evening!
Last night Sheena (my "other" daughter) and I attended a crop at our local scrapbook store. We had a great time and the scrappers there were quite friendly. I think I have finally hooked Sheena on scrapbooking. She completed 2 mini accordian scrapbooks and was working on a third by the time midnight rolled around. It is funny; I've been trying to get her to scrapbook with me forever and only now the scrapbook bug bites her. I was pretty proud of her though! I gave her a sample to follow and just cut paper for her. She did all of the creating part! :)
I completed a double spread LO (layout) and a mini accordian scrapbook. I MUST teach the kid how to cut her own paper! I was starting on another LO that was Thanksgiving related but didn't get too far. I needed to think about it more. Anyway, I still haven't completed it yet, but I will try and finish that one before I have to go to work on next week Wednesday.
We actually had such a great time, we'll have to attend another crop again.
I've been off from work since Wednesday and thought I would get lots done around the house but no such luck! I did get around to vacuuming but not much else. Oh well...you can tell how thrilled I am about doing housework on my days "off"!
Poor Harry. He has been on vacation since Monday. On Thursday he decided to go fishing on the Alsea River and was an unhappy camper when it started to snow....really HARD. So he said at least 2" of snow fell before he finally decided to give up and drive home. Snow and really bad drivers can make a person want to scream. So after that ordeal, he decided to go to his favorite Indian restaurant to relax and have a late lunch.
Anyway, I hope to get a few things done (creative wise, of course, not housework!) around here and try and get started on that project I've been commissioned to do! Oh, by the way I did sign up for my classes at the Creating Keepsakes convention in March! I'm so excited...it gives me something to look forward to!
Alrighty, time for me to sign off and get creating! Still have all those thank you cards to do as well for all those great gifts we received for Christmas!
Later!
