I love Christmas! It's my favorite time of the year. Baking lots of cookies and goodies to give away, taking a drive to see Christmas lights, and just the winter weather makes me want to curl up with a book and drink some hot chocolate or coffee!
I have been busily sending out Christmas cards this past two weeks. I'm halfway through my list, and hope to get everything mailed before Wednesday! The gifts to Hawaii have all been sent and it is so nice to get everything out early for once. I had 80% of the gifts mailed out the first week of December, and finished mailing the other 10% on Friday. I made a fatal error :) of going to the post office to mail another small package for someone locally (I was waiting for the automated postal center, where the wait was under 10 minutes, amazingly!) and began to feel the stress in the air. As I left, I laughed like an evil villian because I was done mailing packages and these folks were just beginning, I could tell! I missed my goal of Thanksgiving weekend. But I plan on getting everything mailed to Hawaii next year by that weekend -- so much nicer not to be stressed and I can enjoy all the fun Christmas stuff.
I stamped 20 Christmas cards, but they were for an order for work. Still have to do a couple personal ones for stamping friends -- I hope I can get some done by the end of the week! :) No scrapbooking going on, so I'm skipping the challenge this week! LOL!
I'm still shopping for the hubby and the kids -- they are the biggest challenge. I'm almost done, thank god -- I can't stand the holiday crowds (some folks are just plain rude) and the irritation of waiting in long lines. I did some of my shopping for friends online -- how nice is that to just pay for stuff and not have to pack and ship it!! I may go that route next year!
The kid is sick AGAIN with her third ear infection since September. I am not liking this whole preschool concept. She has never been sick or even had antibiotics until this year. Trying to rethink on what to do. I always say I'm going to "quit work" and have a real life. It would be nice to have a break from work for awhile. I'm not sure WHAT I would DO!
Well, gotta run. I'll try to post more later.

Hey, you
Sorry about Emma! In our household, it's not the kids getting sick - it's me. I've had a sore throat for a week and a half now, and I tweaked my neck/shoulder a few nights ago coughing so hard. Needless to say, I've been laying mighty low. I told Craig that all I want for Christmas is my throat to quit hurting and to be able to turn my head to the left without experiencing any pain. Anyhoo, I feel for you, because ear infections are not fun. Hopefully she'll be cleared up and good to go in time for Christmas!
Toodles,
M.
