Stamping tip of the week: Faux Linen Technique
Thought I'd pass on this cool technique for you to try. It's what is being called the "Faux Linen" look. Take a small piece of glossy cardstock. With a sanding block or sandpaper, sand in one direction (horizontal), then move the card and sand in the other direction (vertical). Wipe the glossy cardstock with a piece of paper towel to remove the debris. Using a sponge or a dauber, apply ink and rub onto the glossy cardstock. You will now have a cool linen look for a background. Now you can stamp onto it with a bold line stamp. It will give you a nice effect. Try it and tell me if you like the look.
