It has been a LONG week. Trying to get back into the swing of things with work and home "stuff" after being nursemaid for a week. The kidlet ended up with almost no sign of chicken pox; a few bumps turned into small little scabs hardly noticeable. That's the good news I suppose. This week I played catch up at work with tons of stuff to do. We also had a major donor luncheon on Thursday. On top of that I found out at WW that I've GAINED 3 pounds. Sigh. Not like I've had any time to exercise. The only time I did anything physical was mow the lawn last Saturday. That's when I realized that I was really out of shape. I had to stop 4 times to rest and the kidlet kept asking me, "Mom, are you OK?" Damn, I have to find time to hit the gym this week.
This coming week will be busy as it is Adminstrative Professionals Week/Day. The IAAP ladies and I will be getting together for lunch on Thursday at Applebee's in Corvallis. Hopefully we'll have some of the Willamette chapter members who work in Corvallis show up. I need to show up since I'm the President and I've only heard from 2 others that said they'll come -- everyone will probably RSVP at the last minute. It's been a long year as President and I'm actually glad it's almost over. We have a spring educational conference at the end of May and then I'm officially done! I'll still help -- thinking of being the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster next year.
If I can get a load of laundry done, maybeI can check out the new Michaels store opening today in Corvallis. It will probably be mobbed with lots of people and how long I stay depends on how long the kidlet can handle the trip. Not that I NEED anymore stuff.
I haven't done anything creative this week and have a couple of cards to make for birthdays and anniversaries coming up. I will HAVE to make time this weekend.
