Just finished up a craft fair this past weekend. It has been so crazy at our house! My studio looked like a stack of cardstock blew up in it. I sold quite a few card sets with Christmas themes and lots of Christmas tags. I love doing this craft fair; it's my 4th year in a row.
We had friends visit from Hawaii the first week of October. You'll love to know that they shipped back boxes of cereal and canned soup. Hilarious! I got a kick out of them shipping stuff home. We took them to the Evergreen Aviation Museum and the Washington Zoo (Portland) and also did a ton of shopping.
The second week of October Harry, Emma and I took a quick trip to Hawaii for a funeral. Harry's grandfather passed away suddenly. It was nice to see the ohana; however I only got to visit with my mom for 3 hours. Then there was a huge earthquake registering 6.6 as well as several others that followed. Growing up in the islands, we were so used to them, but this one shook really violently and took me by surprise. I think it was the shock of it shaking so hard. All the family are OK. My mom said that her refrigerator flew open and things were flying out of it. It was like a scene from the Exorcist. My friends lost tons of glassware and dishes and one friend has a huge crack down one of her walls in her home. Thankfully no one was hurt. When I went to the supermarket, I realized why my friends shipped cereal and soup home. Cereal costs about $4 a box! And a gallon of milk is about $4 too! I was not laughing anymore.
Not much else happening here on the home front. But work has been nonstop and so hectic. With three fundraising campaigns going on at the same time, it is surprising I can get all of them straight and not mix things up!
Anyway, it has been awhile since I did an entry so thought I would at least make an attempt. More later on!
